What is Sustainable Living?

Sustainable living is a lifestyle that attempts to reduce one's use of the Earth's precious resources in an effort to promote a balance between nature, wildlife, and human activity. To live sustainably, one must think about the effects of our choices on the environment and how to simplify our needs to benefit nature wildlife and the quality of life for future generations.

What is Socially Responsible News?

Social Responsibility is an ethical theory in which individuals and/or organizations have an obligation to act for the benefit of society in economics, social welfare, and the environment. The Botanical Journey's mission is conservation and sustainable living. We support and report on the abundance of life in all its unique and wonderful forms through our journal articles, sustainable goods and by promoting the people, places, and products that are making a positive impact on our world. 

When did The Botanical Journey begin?

The Botanical Journey began in 2014 as a travel and garden website. In 2016 we scaled our success to affiliate sales and began selling retail merchandise. Our mission has always been in support of conservation and sustainable living. We have donated proceeds from sales to MonarchWatch, OneTreePlanted, and for school supplies for students in need. Currently, a portion of the proceeds from our Sustainability Collections is donated to OneTreePlanted.org for global reforestation efforts.

What are Sustainable Products?

Sustainable products provide environmental, social, and economic benefits that protect human health and the environment throughout the lifecycle of a product. We have chosen products free of synthetic, toxic materials that can be used for a long period of time and can either be safely recycled or will biodegrade in a short time period. Many of our easy to carry, reusable products will reduce your daily impact by helping you to refuse single-use plastics for a cleaner, greener Earth.

 How Long Does Shipping Take?

We offer free shipping based on a flat rate cost provided by our various suppliers and craftspeople from around the globe. Our vendors require 3 to 6 days to process an order and then ship via standard shipping methods through established cargo routes. Review the following to find your country's shipping time:

Only one of my items came in the package?

The items in our collections come from different suppliers and in many cases will be shipped in separate packages at no additional cost to you. Let us know if you did not receive a product, we are happy to help. Please contact our support staff, support@thebotanicaljourney.com

My package is missing what should I do?

If you have not received your order within the established time frame for your shipping area according to our Shipping Policy, then please check with your local delivery carrier to ensure the package was not mistakenly placed nearby (at a neighbor's house for example).
If the product has not been delivered, contact our support staff and we'll check on its status for you!

Can I return something if I don't like it?

The Botanical Journey happily offers a refund for defective merchandise or products not received. Please contact as soon as possible with any problems or concerns. Our Return Policy is within 45 days from the date of purchase. Contact our office at support@thebotanicaljourney.com with the order number, tracking number, customer name, and reason for your return request.

Can I cancel or modify an order?

Canceled or modified orders must be done within 24 hours of purchase. Email your request at support@thebotanicaljourney.com with the order number, item(s) purchased and customer name with any specific information for changes to an order or to cancel. Please write CANCELLATION or ORDER CHANGE in the subject line. If the order has been shipped we will not be able to cancel or modify the order. However, we do want happy customers, so please feel free to contact our support team with any questions or concerns. We are here for you.
